Detailed content of this patch

 Improvements of the intranet documentation

1 - Displaying the diagrams as miniatures

a) In the hierarchical tree of the workspace

As the cursor is placed on the name of the model in the tree, the diagram is displayed as a miniature.

Click on the name of the model to display its image in the right part of the window. To view the descriptive sheet of the object, click on its representation in the diagram.

b) In the descriptive sheet of the object

All the diagrams in which the object is present are displayed In the descrprive sheet of the object.

Example for the entity "Expert". Click on a diagram to display its representation in the right part of the window.

2 - New presentation of the descriptive sheet of the objects

The characteristics of the objects in the descriptive sheets are now presented by tabs.

The "All" tab allows to display all the characteristics of the object in a single page (same presentation as in the previous version).

Definition tab : this tab displays the descriptive characteristics of the object.

Detail tab : presentation of the contents of the object (ex: properties for the entity, tables, storages, keys, attributes,... for the tables, ...).

Diagrams tab : displays the diagrams in which the object is present.

Crossed references tab : this tab displays the linked objects.

Administration tab : displays the date of creation and last modification of the object and the name of its author.

All tab : displays all the characteritics of the objects.

3 - Bubbles on the objects

As the image of a diagram is displayed, and as the cursor is placed on the object, a bubble is displayed containing the description of the object (this description has been keyed in the pop up dialog of the object - "definition" tab).

4 - Active links in the bubbles

When the cursor is placed on the "associated files" symbol  and if files are associated to the object,  a bubble is displayed showing active links with the attached files.

The cursor placed on the post it or note pad icon displays the text in the bubble.

Nota : to choose the presentation of the descriptive sheets with tabs, you have to select the option in the intranet documentation dialog.
Possibly select the tabs you want to generate or not (Detail, crossed references, administration, diagrams, ...).

Another option makes it possible to insert a tab showing the associated files of the object.

5 - Publication of the results of the queries in the intranet documentation

The results of the queries can be inserted in the intranet site.

First execute the query and then export its result in a HTM file.

This file must be saved in the folder of the intranet documentation.

Select the option to update the intranet documentation. Click on "Finish" to execute the generation.

The intranet documentation dialog is displayed.

The "Query" node is inserted in the tree. Click on the name of the query of which you want to view the results.

Nota : to display the results of the queries in the intranet documentation, you have to select the corresponding option in the "Intranet documentation" dialog ("Options" tab).

6 - Generating a minimal intranet documentation

The " Diagrams only " option available in the "Options" tab of the "Intranet documentation" dialog enables to execute a generation of a miniaml intranet site, displaying only the diagrames and their links. The descriptive sheets of the objects are not generated.

Nevertheless, the bubbles are available on the objects to display their description as the cursor is placed on the symbol. See illustration sections 3 & 4.
